Works great but watch out for airlines disabling it.

This is a great item from elevation labs with the usual sturdy engineering. I have been using this for about 6 months to track a suitcase when I travel. It has worked great until the last trip when I didn't get the usual notifications. I installed alkaline batteries to be in compliant with TSA and airline regulations. On arrival to my destination, I was surprised that 3 of the 4 screws were missing and the Air-tag had been removed. Clearly it had been tampered with to disable it. It was either TSA or the Airline, but of note is the TSA did not put an inspection notice in the bag. Further the packing of the bag was disturbed like a troop of gorillas had inspected it. luckily nothing was broken. Just be aware if this was your intended use.

Great idea

Just installed 7 in equipment/cars around my home. So far so good. Being able to use AA batteries for extended battery life is great. Plus they disguise the Air Tags.

Damn near bullet proof

Nice hard plastic case, gasket, and screws, and tools to secure it, now I just need to mortgage the house to buy lithium batteries!

Solid Piece of Kit

I don't care about a likely AirTag generation 2 because longer battery life was all I really needed after having replaced those annoying coin-sized batteries.

Frankly, the biggest annoyance was hunting around for the right-sized Allen wrench every 18 months for whatever was holding my AirTag — so TimeCapsule™ solved two problems! In ten years, when this thing dies, I'll get the latest generation AirTag (and the next-gen compatible TimeCapsule™).
